A well-cooked, perfectly seasoned turkey is the centerpiece of most Thanksgiving Day tables each year on the fourth Thursday in November. With most stores staying closed once again on Thanksgiving Day, your guests might spend more time grazing throughout the kitchen, and that means keeping everything stocked and ready. Between the extra sides, desserts, and all the fixins’, it’s easy for your grocery budget to stretch thin just as holiday expenses start piling up. That’s why timely grocery budgeting is more important than ever as we head into the season of big meals and even bigger grocery bills.
Fortunately, plenty of retailers are helping families save by giving away free turkeys in November to members of their loyalty rewards programs or customers who meet a minimum spending threshold. Most of these programs are free to join (except for warehouse clubs or paid subscriptions), and earning your free turkey is often as simple as cashing in points or meeting the required spend.
